Dr. Smith received his DVM from Ohio State in 2009. He worked at a mixed practice in Albion, Pennsylvania during which he obtained a MPS in Agricultural Biosecurity from 2009 to 2012. He then completed a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine, with a Livestock emphasis at UC Davis from 2012 to 2015. He then moved to Iowa State University where he was an clinician. At his time at Iowa State, he also completed a residency in Pharmacology and PhD in Biomedical Sciences. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. Currently Dr. Smith is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee.
