She has presented locally, nationally and internationally and has authored many articles related to several aspects of Veterinary Nursing. Special interests also include study of the Human-Animal Bond, Humane education, and Pet-facilitated therapies. Ms. Nettifee was recently honored as the American Humane Veterinary Nurse Hero 2020. Ms. Nettifee is originally from Fairmont, Minnesota and currently resides in Apex, NC, along with one dog (Phoenix) one cat (Paradox) and other foster pets.
