Tine graduated from the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover in Germany in 2005. Following her dissertation she undertook a rotating internship at the Université de Liege in Belgium. After a few years in private practice, Tine completed an equine medicine residency at the University of Illinois and became an ACVIM-LA and ECEIM diplomate. She was the internal medicine clinician at the Tierklinik Lüsche in Germany before she moved to South Africa to work as a Senior Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine at the University of Pretoria while simultaneously undertaking PhD research on African Horse Sickness. Tine joined the University of Glasgow Equine Hospital in 2023 as a Senior Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine.
Tine has particular interest in infectious diseases and critical care as well as gastrointestinal and neonatal patients.
