Dr. Lehman grew up riding horses as a Pony Clubber in Alaska, which promoted her passion for horse management and veterinary care. She studied Equine Science at Montana State University, and worked at a local equine referral hospital which drove her motivation to apply for veterinary school. She completed a Master's of Science in Toxicology at Colorado State and later a DVM degree with an Equine focus. Her veterinary school and externship experience fostered her interest in equine internal medicine and motivated her to choose a path towards residency application. She completed a private practice internship with Loomis Basin Equine Medical Group in Northern California, and now is currently completing a large animal internal medicine residency with equine focus at UC Davis, 2024 Candidate.
