Dr. Andrea Pires dos Santos is a board-certified veterinary clinical pathologist with more than 120 peer-reviewed publications. Her research focuses on the role of microRNAs in inflammatory and neoplastic diseases.
Dr. Santos holds a DVM and Master's degree in Clinical Pathology from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, and a PhD from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Dr. Santos moved to the U.S. in 2007, where she was a postdoctoral research associate and completed her clinical pathology residency at Purdue University in 2017. She has been a faculty member since 2017, and is currently an associate professor of veterinary clinical pathology at Purdue University.
