G. Elizabeth Pluhar, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVS is a small animal surgeon and Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the University of Minnesota. She has been involved in research using animal models of human disease for over 25 years. For the past 15 years as a co-Founder and current Director of the Canine Brain Tumor Clinical Trials Program, these efforts have focused on developing novel therapies for glioblastoma using dogs with spontaneous high-grade glioma as a translational model. She is completing several clinical trials assessing novel devices and various immunotherapeutic modalities for high-grade glioma.
