Dr. Terri DeFrancesco is a Professor in Cardiology and Critical Care at the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine where she also serves as Assistant Department Head and Small Animal Focus Leader. She recieved her DVM degree from Cornell university. She did her small animal internship at Virginia Tech and two residencies, Cardiology and Emergency/Critical Care, at NC State University. She is double-boarded in Cardiology and ECC. She has been the recipient of numerous teaching and clinical awards including the Pfizer Norden Teaching award and Clinician of the year award. Dr. DeFrancesco's areas of clinical expertise and research are in the management of cardiac emergencies and thoracic point of care ultrasound.
