A 2yr male entire Jack Russell Terrier Cross Breed was referred to a university referral hospital following a gastrotomy, performed by the referring practice. The clinical signs of anorexia and regurgitation worsened after surgery, where foreign material was removed. The patient was referred due to persistent clinical signs that were refractory to supportive therapies. The patient was hospitalised for eighteen days at the referral hospital, and in this time needed oxygen therapy to support a suspected aspiration event. To increase complexity of the case, the patient also developed acquired Myasthenia Gravis (MGr) during hospitalisation. This presentation will discuss the patient's dynamic treatment plan and nursing care, that ultimately resulted in a full recovery.
