This presentation will discuss two common conditions associated with CKD, anemia and weight loss. Primary focus will be on recognizing nonregenerative anemia and the mechanisms that cause this condition, as well as therapeutic options. Special focus will be on molidustat, the first ever HIF-PH inhibitor in veterinary medicine, as a first-in-class option for the treatment of nonregenerative anemia of CKD in cats.
