Presentation Description / Summary: This session will describe an apparently novel, seasonal, idiopathic equine hepatitis syndrome observed in Midwestern horses during the past 3 winter seasons. Clinical presentation, diagnostic testing, treatment, and prognosis will be discussed.

Recognize the clinical presentation of horses with idiopathic seasonal hepatitis.
Formulate a diagnostic and treatment plan for horses with suspected idiopathic seasonal hepatitis.
Recognize the differential diagnoses among horses presenting with fever and hepatopathy.
