Presentation Description / Summary: This presentation will discuss the group of neoplasms known as neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). These tumors arise from neuroendocrine cells which are found in multiple places within the body. NETs can be functional or non-functional and clinical signs are often vague. The biological behavior, diagnostic tests, and treatment methods for more commonly diagnosed NETs, such as insulinoma, will be examined. This will give the veterinary technician increased understanding of this tumor group.
