Presentation Description / Summary: This lecture on veterinary immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP) will explore the complex immune mechanisms underlying platelet destruction and bleeding complications. The focus will be on the critical presentation of ITP and its treatment with vincristine, a chemotherapy drug that suppresses the immune system and prevents platelet destruction. Diagnostic methods, vincristine therapy protocols, potential side effects, and supportive care measures will be discussed to equip attendees with comprehensive knowledge for effectively understanding and managing ITP cases in veterinary medicine.
