Presentation Description / Summary: Diagnostic testing for the veterinary oncology patient encompasses a large variety of modalities. From routine bloodwork to advanced molecular tests, every result is integral in forming an appropriate treatment plan for the patient. This presentation will explore the various testing methods used with veterinary oncology patients, focusing on a comprehensive review of novel and specialized testing (e.g. flow cytometry, liquid biopsy, immunohistochemistry, etc.). This will enable veterinary technicians to have more effective and informative conversations with pet owners, as well as other members of the veterinary team.
