Marisa Ciccozzi is a first-year cardiology resident at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center. She received a bachelor's degree in animal science and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of California, Davis. She then went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at the University of Minnesota. She is interested in interventional procedures and minimally invasive techniques to treat congenital and acquired cardiac disease. She has a personal love for German Shepherds and has the pleasure of being mom to two. They both happily volunteer for practice echocardiograms and one incidentally has a persistent left cranial vena cava.
