Angela received a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in Biology from the University of Connecticut in 1986 and VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She completed a Residency in Veterinary Oncology at Tufts University in 1995, achieved ACVIM diplomate status in Oncology in 1996; and remained at Tufts as adjunct faculty until 2003 while completing a research fellowship in bone marrow biology and transplantation at the University of Massachusetts Cancer Center. In 2003 she co-founded Veterinary Oncology Consultants in New South Wales, Australia.
She has published extensively in the veterinary, human oncology, and basic science literature, on the subjects of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and photodynamic therapy as well as bone marrow transplantation and hematopoietic stem cell biology. She has given presentations at veterinary and human oncology and basic science meetings around the world; and has received awards for both academic and research quality as well as clinical medicine. She has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed scientific articles, abstracts and proceedings, textbook chapters, a textbook for veterinary technicians, and numerous non-refereed articles.
Angela treats all medical cancer problems in animals, and continues to work toward finding ways to improve remission and cure rates while still keeping quality of life as the top priority.
