Dr. Audrey Ruple is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences in the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Her research focus is in the area of βOne Health,β the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health. She has a particular interest in comparative biomedical aspects of cancer and aging and she uses companion dogs as a model system to better understand why cancers occur and how we can all β humans and animals β age better. Dr. Ruple is a licensed, clinical veterinarian and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. She obtained her DVM, MS, and PhD degrees from Colorado State University and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom.
