Dr Eberhardt is a senior lecturer in equine internal medicine at the University of Pretoria in South Africa where she offers an equine cardiology consulting service - EQUICARDIO. Previously, Dr. Eberhardt worked as a senior clinician and lecturer in equine internal medicine at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr Eberhardt‘s main field of research is equine cardiology. Dr. Eberhardt has developed a point of care echocardiography protocol for the evaluation of the emergency and critical care patient. In South Africa she has expanded her cardiology research to study the cardiac rhythm in rhinos and other wildlife species.
