Colin C. Schwarzwald, Dr.med.vet, PhD, DACVIM (LAIM), DECEIM, FASE (he/him/his)

Colin C. Schwarzwald graduated in 1997 from the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zurich, Switzerland. From 1998 to 2001 he was clinical instructor at the Equine Hospital of the University of Zurich. Between 2001 and 2006 he completed an ACVIM (LAIM) residency program and a PhD program in equine cardiology at The Ohio State University. In 2006, he moved back to the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich. In 2012 he was appointed to a full professorship. He is currently the director of the Clinic for Equine Internal Medicine and Chair of the Equine Department. His interests include large animal and comparative cardiology. Since 2023, he is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.
