Dr. Andrews received his DVM degree from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After a year in private practice in Walla Walla, WA, he completed an Equine Internal Medicine Residency at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Andrews is Diplomate in the ACVIM, Large Animal Internal Medicine and Dr. Andrews was a faculty member at the University of Tennessee for 20 years, before moving to Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Andrews has been Director of the Equine Health and Sports Performance program at LSU for 15 years and recently was appointed Department Head of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. His area of clinical interest include, gastric ulcer disease and the effectiveness of supplements as well as colic and gastrointestinal disease of horses.
