Dr. Katrina Mealey received a Pharmacy degree from UNM prior to earning her DVM from CSU. Following an internship at the University of Minnesota she trained at TAMU completing residencies in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology while earning a PhD in pharmacology.
Dr. Mealey is a Regents Professor WSU and directs the Program in Individualized Medicine. She holds several patents for her discoveries of the canine and feline MDR1 mutations, has authored over 100 peer-reviewed research articles and a book. She is the recipient of numerous national awards and fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, the Washington State Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
