Dr. McCue is the Associate Dean for Research and Professor Equine Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Dr. has a MS degree (epidemiology focused) and a PhD (genetics focused) and is an ACVIM-LAIM diplomate. Dr. McCue’s research ranges from studies of single-gene mutations to polygenic traits and includes muscle disease, metabolic syndrome and obesity. Her group also builds genomics tools including SNP arrays, whole-genome and RNA sequence data resources, and computer software. Dr. McCue’s lab also applies these methods to dog genetic traits including service dog behaviors and success.
