Dr. Yvette Nout-Lomas earned her DVM from Utrecht University in The Netherlands. After completing a rotating internship at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA she completed residencies in Equine Internal Medicine and Equine Emergency and Critical Care at The Ohio State University. She earned a PhD in Neuroscience in the College of Medicine of The Ohio State University and then completed postdoctoral work in comparative neuroscience at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Nout-Lomas is currently Associate Professor Equine Medicine at Colorado State University. In addition to continuing collaborative research with the University of California, Dr. Nout-Lomas’ active research includes objective gait analysis, electrodiagnostics, and diagnostic imaging in horses with neurologic disease. Dr. Nout-Lomas’ career goal is to improve diagnostic capabilities and treatment options for horses and other species with neurologic disease.
