Veterinary Student
Colorado State University
I am a veterinary student in the class of 2025 at Colorado State University. Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to Colorado after earning my BS in animal science and spent two years as a dog trainer and an ER vet tech. I discovered an interest in cardiology during my first semester of vet school, particularly in the pathophysiology of cardiac diseases. I got my first experience in clinical research through my school’s veterinary summer scholar program, where I jumped into a project using echocardiogram to evaluate various aspects of the mitral valve in canine degenerative mitral valve disease. I hope to eventually do a cardiology residency and take a teaching role in academia to continue a career of clinical research and education. Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy rock climbing, trail running and bikepacking in the mountains of Colorado.
