Dr. Rojas is a Computational Biologist at AnimalBiome, a private company that provides microbiome testing for companion animals and maintains a veterinary canine and feline stool bank. Her role focuses on analyzing datasets from research studies and research collaborations and writing articles for publication in academic and veterinary journals. She recently published work on the impacts of oral capsule fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs) on the microbiome of cats and dogs. Her postdoctoral research investigated the roles of bacteria in host chemical signaling in the feline anal gland, and her Ph.D. work examined the micro- and macro-scale factors structuring the gut microbiomes of African herbivores and carnivores.
