Georgia Skelton is a 2021 DVM graduate from the Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained a Bachelor of science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Georgetown College in 2017. She grew up in central Kentucky on a small horse farm and is a lifelong equestrian. Georgia's professional interests are centered on laminitis research, three-dimensional imaging modality acquisition and interpretation, including CT, MRI, Nuclear Scintigraphy, and PET, with a special interest in dynamic acquisition of FDG-PET scans relating to supporting limb laminitis.
She also has a passion for sports medicine and rehabilitation, especially how diagnostic imaging can be thoughtfully and judiciously employed in both selection of the young horse for sport and maintenance of the aged athlete. Aside from professional interests, Georgia enjoys riding horses, photography, pencil, and ink drawings.
