Emily Coffey is an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. She attended North Carolina State University for veterinary school, followed by a rotating internship at Colorado State University. She then completed residency training and a PhD in Comparative and Molecular Biosciences at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses broadly on delineating the role of the microbiome in various health and disease states. She has a particular interest in the urinary microbiome and the effects of host microbial communities and biological metabolites on urinary stone formation.
