Kali Slavik grew up in central Texas, where she developed a love for horses and veterinary medicine at an early age. She attended Tulane University where she earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2013, and then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Kali has served as a Veterinary Medical Officer in the United States Army since 2017. Kali is currently a Large Animal Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center. Her research interests include botulism, laminitis, and endocrine diseases of horses.
