I graduated from the University of Bern in Switzerland, in 2002. I did my medicine residency as a joint program between the University of Bern and of Louisiana State University and graduated in 2008. I have then worked in the UK, before undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne studying canine gastro-intestinal disease and monitoring of animals on treatment with immune suppressive drugs. I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. My main interests in medicine include gastrointestinal disease and immune-mediated diseases.
