Ingo Schäfer studied Veterinary Medicine at the St. Istvan University Budapest (Hungary) from 2010 to 2012 and continued his studies at the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) from 2012 to 2016. He graduated in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, he did an internship in the Small Animal Clinic, Freie Universität Berlin (Germany). From 2018 to 2021, Ingo Schäfer continued working there as a scientific employee. He finished his Master of Small Animal Science and doctoral thesis in 2019. From 2019 onwards, he joined the LABOKLIN laboratory in Bad Kissingen (Germany). Since 2021, he is a resident of the ECVCP. His special fields of interest are vector-borne infections and immune-mediated diseases. He authored 23 peer-reviewed publications.
