Erin Frey received her DVM from NC State University in 2003 and her MPH from the University of North Carolina in 2018. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and sits on the AVMA's Committee on Antimicrobials. She is an advisor to CLSI's Subcommittee on Veterinary Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (VAST) and helped to develop VET09: Understanding Susceptibility Test Data as a Component of Antimicrobial Stewardship in Veterinary Settings. Dr. Frey is a Research Assistant Professor at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine with a research and teaching focus of public health and companion animal antimicrobial resistance, and she chairs the college's Infectious Disease Risk Management Committee.
