Teresa Burns received her B.S. and DVM degrees from Iowa State University, and she completed her internship (Equine Field Service), residency (Equine Internal Medicine), and PhD training at The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She is an equine internal medicine specialist, board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Large Animal Internal Medicine), and she is currently an Associate Professor of Equine Internal Medicine and the Bud and Marilyn Jenne Professor of Equine Clinical Sciences and Research in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include equine insulin dysregulation, endocrinopathic laminitis, and equine neonatology.
