Presentation Description / Summary: The presentation will consist of a description of 4-5 cases of canine and feline nasal tumors (various tumor types and scenarios). Discussion of the potential and selected treatment(s) and case outcome will be presented. The talk will highlight both benefits and challenges associated with use of radiation therapy for nasal tumors in dogs and cats.
Learner Outcomes: 1. Describe 3 treatment options for nasal tumors in dogs and cats 2. Describe potential adverse effects associated with radiation therapy in dogs and cats 3. Describe possible outcomes of treatment after stereotactic radiation therapy for dogs with nasal carcinomas (expected median survival time, expected clinical benefit, challenges in patient monitoring).
