Presentation Description / Summary: In this session, we will discuss the advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) in veterinary medicine and clinical decision-making, and how these tools can be harnessed to elevate patient care. Further, we will discuss potential pitfalls and the critical questions veterinarians must ask before applying these tools.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the applications of AI/ML in clinical decision-making and general considerations for the interpretation of model output.
  • Recognize the major limitations in creation and application of AI/ML models.
